Is the RGB benefit worth keeping when moving up to UHD displays displaying SD content? Would be happy to spend £20-30 if it made significant difference, until that device is replaced down the line a bit. I have read multiple places that RGB is slightly better than the alternatives when its well-supported (maybe I've seen small difference on old CRT displays/Std.Def. DVD player) which have S-Video output and component and RGB along with their digital audio output(s). Reason for asking: I have older devices (eg. Q: Is there a converter box that combines analog RGB video signal instead? (usually only available via SCART connectors and switchable between RGB, and YUV/YPbPr or whatever proper name for that type of component signal is). made things copied by lots of no-brand names for £20-30) that can combine older optical audio (eg 5.1, maybe 7.1 channel DD/DTS or more) with video signal into a single stream and HDMI output. I think I've seen boxes (the cheap Chinese/equiv.
